AquaVision leak detection modules.

AquaVision leak detection modules monitor your water usage 24/7 and detect abnormalities. The modules read your water meters and, if detected, can alarm the user and/or close a tap to stop the leak. Leaks account for 30% of global water consumption and the price of water continues to rise. The device pays for itself in a short time and insures you against surprises when getting your water bill.

Small leaks are noticed after several hours, large leaks within minutes.

The AquaVision devices fully meet BREEAM standards around leak detection on the main water line (WAT03) and also help achieve the credit around monitoring and submetering (WAT02), which is a necessary credit to achieve a score of Good or higher.

In an ideal setup, meter the main water line and place submeters for the different building sections. It is best to place automatic valves only at the submeters, as it is forbidden to shut off the fire line.

Submetering has the advantage that when a leak is detected, you know exactly where it is and can therefore fix it. As an added benefit, you also have monitoring of your consumption on all separate rooms, which is useful for billing and for relevant BREEAM credits around submetering (New Construction WAT02).
